VidyaGyan runs vibrant awareness programs including school assemblies, poster campaigns, interactive workshops, and dedicated Fair Trade Weeks where students explore what fair trade means for farmers, artisans, and communities across the globe.

Our awareness efforts extend beyond the classroom — reaching parents, local communities, and partner organisations — creating a ripple effect that amplifies our impact and builds a culture of conscious choices at every level.

Our student campaigners take fair trade beyond the school gates. Through social media drives, community stalls at local markets, and partnerships with businesses in Sitapur, our campaigns have reached hundreds of families and sparked meaningful conversations about ethical consumption.

Flagship campaigns like "Choose Fair This Diwali" and "Fair Trade Fortnight" have become annual highlights — uniting students, teachers, parents, and local traders in a shared commitment to building a fairer world from the ground up.

The Fairtrade Switch is a tangible commitment — replacing conventional products in the school canteen, stationery supplies, and events catering with certified Fairtrade alternatives. Every switch tells a story: of farmers receiving fair wages, communities investing in schools and clinics, and environments protected from exploitative practices.

Embedding fair trade into VidyaGyan's institutional framework ensures our commitment is sustainable and systemic — not dependent on individual enthusiasm. We have developed and ratified a comprehensive Fair Trade School Policy, endorsed by school management, governing body, and the parent-teacher association.

The policy covers procurement guidelines, curriculum integration requirements, annual progress reviews, and clear targets for fair trade product adoption. It serves as VidyaGyan's formal declaration that fair trade values are woven into the fabric of how we operate as an institution.

Assessment is the compass that keeps VidyaGyan's fair trade journey on course. Through structured annual reviews, student-led evaluations, and third-party audits by the Fairtrade Foundation, we rigorously measure our progress against designated criteria — celebrating achievements and identifying areas for growth with equal enthusiasm.

Our assessment process has not only guided our path to Fairtrade School Designation but has become a model for other schools in Uttar Pradesh. The data gathered drives continuous improvement, ensuring our commitment deepens with every passing year.
